It's starting to get to that time of year, the weather is swaying  and spring has mostly sprung. For us we are starting to think about enjoying ourselves a little bit. We can't wait to get outside and enjoy some of the great outdoors come rain or shine. We are city dwellers here at Number Six that's not to say we don't enjoy our fair share of Mother Nature. London being one of the greenest cities in the world in respect of it's commons, parks and public gardens means there is a lot to do that's not including the world...

For any of you with a keen eye you might have noticed we are partial to a work Jacket at Number Six. Now I can think of many things to thank the French for like French bread, the 1998 world cup winning squad and mime artists, however Work Jackets have to top that list. The History: Originating in France, the work jacket was a staple of the French countryside. The most well known form of the work jacket is the "Bleu de Travail" jacket, this is the iconic jacket with heavy indigo dye. This jacket became prominent in France and throughout...

Universal Works X Saucony Originals Work Pack - Made With Good Ingredients

This Saturday we see the launch of the Universal Works X Saucony collaboration trainers. With Limited stock and high demand these trainers are destined to fly out. We advise you get in quick to avoid disappointment. What we like most about these trainers is that they are made by two relatively small brands who both focus on quality and making products for day to day use. With this collaboration you can clearly see the influences of both brands. Saucony keep there classic silhouette and the embodied 'S' on the side while the fabric choice and colour has got universal works...

Lyle & Scott is a brand rich with history and universal works have such a diverse collection so it was only right that the two brand should work together at some point in time. Combining both of there undeniable love for classic british heritage style they have come out with a collection that boasts a beautiful combination with the past and the present. The collection was Inspired by David Keyte of Universal Works’ ’70s and ’80s football casuals wardrobe. Maybe the piece of football culture has crept...

Lets Talk Hats..

Its funny how something as simple as a hat can tell you a lot about the person that’s wearing it. Some of us wear them for utility, some for style. Whatever your reason there’s no questioning its importance in a man’s wardrobe. Continuing our features highlighting various pieces we thought it was time to dedicate a feature to hats and pick out some of our favorites. We thought it would be interesting to feature three completely different hats. From Ebbets Field Flannels, Dickies and Universal Works. Founded by Jerry Cohen Ebbets Field Flannels has an expertise when it comes to...
