Earn Your Stripes

Those of you with a keen eye may have noticed a slight obsession with stripes this summer.  You've probably also guessed that we are loving it. There is nothing like adding a bit of nostalgia to your look with a retro stripe or a bit of Ivy style with a striped oxford. That is not to mention some of the stripe wearing icons of days gone by, greats like James Dean, Pablo Picasso and of course Dennis the Menace. In celebration of all things stripy we've done a round up of some our season favourites. Without further a do here...

Barbour x White Mountaineering Spring/Summer 2015

Posted by 2

This Spring/Summer saw two highly acclaimed outwear specialists team up on the Barbour x White Mountaineering Spring/Summer 2015. The two brands have contrasting approaches to design; Barbour is a British brand celebrated for their long standing heritage in manufacturing functional, classic silhouettes, and Yosuke Aizawa's Japanese outerwear label White Mountaineering created off the back of Aizawa's departure from Comme Des Garçons to pursue pairing performance fabrics with fashion-forward cuts. The collaborative capsule collection seamlessly fuses the two sensibilities of each respective brand; a strong heritage and contemporary design, resulting in a technical and streamlined collection of styles. The remaining pieces from...

You don’t get any more English than Barbour and that’s a fact. The brand was founded in 1894 by John Barbour in the Market Place in South Shields and is a family owned business currently in its 5th generation. A lot has changed since 1894 and the company now sources its products from around the world but the classic wax jackets are still manufactured by hand in their Simonside factory in the North East of England. New Season Oliver Spencer

We go way way back with Oliver Spencer. Many a late night has been spent chewing the fat with him in various bars across the globe with one instance in Tokyo standing out in particular. Ever the adventurous one, Oli tucked into some pretty lively looking sea urchin and literally, within a few minutes, he had turned a whiter shade of pale and ended up spending a large proportion of that evening with his head stuck down the toilet. Just one of the many reasons why we like him. Another reason is the constantly evolving, ever impressive menswear that Oli...
