Saucony Originals

Posted by 2 on

Founded on the banks of the Saucony Creek in Kutztown, PA by four business men. Saucony Originals came into existence in 1898. They first focussed on creating shoes for children but the line quickly diversified over the years to incorporate sport-specific footwear which included baseball shoes, roller boots and bowling shoes to name a few. During the second world war Saucony Originals created Army Boots and not to mention the boots worn by the first astronaut to walk in space. How’s that for something to put on your list of achievements? The brand is recognized by a small group of serious runners in 1977 and received an award given by a US magazine. The resulting publicity was all the company needed to take the brand to the next level and made it an instantly recognizable household name with a reputation for high quality and innovative performance. The company has been dipping into its archives to bring back silhouettes and celebrate its glorious past whilst at the same time taking advantage of the current technology and production techniques, Something the brands has been known for through the years. Here at Number Six London we stock a wide range of Saucony Originals footwear such as the Grid 9000 and the Original trainer. Perfect if you are a serious runner or just want something comfortable under your feet! You can shop the whole collection here.
