Lacoste Live

Today we are going to talk about Lacoste Live. Since its inception in 1933 the French company has been the producer of high-end clothing, footwear, perfume, leather good, eyewear and its ubiquitous yet iconic polo shirts. René Lacoste who was the company’s founder was known for his tenacity on court hence the nickname “the crocodile”. Though mostly conservative and old fashioned, the brand has carved a new niche with its Lacoste Live collection which combines  the elegance of the Lacoste brand with patterns and dying techniques that have never been seen on its clothes before. We’ve recently had the Lacoste Live AW13 drop here at Number Six, London and these are some of our favourite pieces. Firstly we have the Lacoste Live White Polo Shirt, it doesn’t get more iconic than this. Made in stretch petit piqué it features an ultra slim fit with short sleeves and vents to the sides and a contrasting croc to the left chest. Next we have the Lacoste Live Blue Crew Neck Sweatshirt perfect for those colder months or as a layering piece it also features an ultra slim fit and contrasting geometric details on the cuffs and hem.
