Making sure our clothes are responsibly made from start to finish can be a hard task, being well dressed and looking after the planet don’t always fit together well. Here at Number Six, we like to bring in the brands that do things a little differently. This season we’ve got new guys on the block Re-Sustain, and they’re making a decent name for themselves pretty quickly.
"fully certified yarn and sustainable manufacturing"
Founded by a trio of experts in eco-friendly matters, Prama Bhardwaj, Matthew Murphy, and Richard Martin have put together a collection that’s 100% ethically sourced, made, and sold. Focusing on simple, timeless cuts that can stand strains of everyday wear has got these guys far. The AW17 pieces feature oversized pockets, exposed loopback and double stitched hems in washed, neutral tones across the board.
"the team are right on the money"
Everything is crafted from fully certified yarn and sustainable manufacturing processes are always put in place. It stemmed from a need to provide something that’s easy on the planet, the eyes, and our wallets. In short, we’ve got a lot of time for that way of thinking. Providing us with spot-on cuts, colourways and some super nice textures to boot, the team behind Re-Sustain are right on the money this season.
Staff Picks…
This time around we asked Bryony to choose the AW17 highlights from our handpicked selection. Here’s what she made of it all…
“This collection is the hardest to choose from, everything they’ve produced this season is right on the money. I’ve pulled out the Aiden Jet Pocket T-Shirt because the huge pocket is ideal and looks incredible set against the heavyweight stripe. The Koby Reverse Sweatshirt in both Ecru and Washed Red are classics, made from an exposed loop back sweat fabric that all-important texture. And the Garret Work Jacket is a highlight that goes without saying. Indigo dyed, heavy cotton twill, classic 3 pocket design. Say no more.”
