SEVERAL; SS17 at London Collections

The Several SS17 show at London Collection Mens was another nod to times gone by. Set in a yellow and white cafe, the show offered a retro palette even Wes Anderson would envy. The brands attention to detail did not fall short at the clothing. Vintage magazines and papers alongside toast on the table all served as parts of the Several time machine. Furthermore the clothing featured was just as much a tip of the hat to Britain of post war times. Utilitarian work wear teamed with the aspirational trench coat & sunglasses blended industrial styles of the early 20th...

Our friends over the channel really seem to be coming into their own at the minute. Le Laboureur work jackets, Armor Lux Bretons and now the footwear maestro's Spring Court have provided us with their Heavy Twill collection. What's the Heavy Twill Collection?... The collection features the two iconic silhouettes of the B2 & G2 shoe with the classic breathable sole unit. Each shoe features a heavyweight ecru canvas alongside blue ribboning on the tongue and heel. We are particular fans of the blue ribbon laces on the G2, a superb touch. Both styles maintain their instantly recognisable shape and...

For any of you with a keen eye you might have noticed we are partial to a work Jacket at Number Six. Now I can think of many things to thank the French for like French bread, the 1998 world cup winning squad and mime artists, however Work Jackets have to top that list. The History: Originating in France, the work jacket was a staple of the French countryside. The most well known form of the work jacket is the "Bleu de Travail" jacket, this is the iconic jacket with heavy indigo dye. This jacket became prominent in France and throughout...

Bob Dylan, The Blues Brothers, James Dean and Lour Reed are all testament to what a good pair of sunglasses can do for a man. [caption id="attachment_6324" align="aligncenter" width="1000"] Bob & that other cool guy Andy in Sunglasses...[/caption] It's a hard one to get right but we like to think once you've found the right pair of sunnies they'll be with you for life. So as a gentle nudge...

Barbour x White Mountaineering Spring/Summer 2015

This Spring/Summer saw two highly acclaimed outwear specialists team up on the Barbour x White Mountaineering Spring/Summer 2015. The two brands have contrasting approaches to design; Barbour is a British brand celebrated for their long standing heritage in manufacturing functional, classic silhouettes, and Yosuke Aizawa's Japanese outerwear label White Mountaineering created off the back of Aizawa's departure from Comme Des Garçons to pursue pairing performance fabrics with fashion-forward cuts. The collaborative capsule collection seamlessly fuses the two sensibilities of each respective brand; a strong heritage and contemporary design, resulting in a technical and streamlined collection of styles. The remaining pieces from...
