ED Zine V launch

Last Wednesday at London's Edwin store saw the launch of the fifth issue of the ED Zine featuring work from Number Six's very own James Mitchell, along with many other great artists. 'I do not expect to be a mother but I expect to die alone' The first UK solo exhibition from Polish-born, New York based artist Olek (or fully Agata Oleksiak) has been at Tonys Gallery since the 13th January 2012 and finishes this Friday 23rd March 2012. 1994 -  Nirvana played their final ever concert when they appeared at The Terminal Einz in Munich, Germany. The 3,000 capacity venue was a small Airport Hanger. The power went off during the show so they played an impromptu acoustic set including a version of The Cars 'My Best Friend's Girl.'

Stik A Rock exhibition

Number Six are proud to present Stika’s first solo show entitled 'Stik A Rock' instore on Thursday 27th October. The exhibition features a range of individual hand crafted letters which are created using a mixture of hand cut and laser cut layers; as well as a collection of other unique pieces including a variety of graffiti hand styles. SAILOR JERRY PARTY @ NUMBER SIX

Last week we had a knees up with Sailor Jerry, at the Number Six store, to celebrate the 100th birthday of the legendary tattooist Norman ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins. Selected artwork was exhibited in the store, as well as the newly released book, Homeward Bound: The Life and Times of Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry. The book accompanies the critically-acclaimed cult film Hori Smoku Sailor Jerry, which is set for UK DVD release later in 2011. Images below by Fatsarazzi
