1993 – In the Peanuts comic strip, Charlie Brown hit his first home run. The lovable loser who is possessed by hope and determination created by Charles M Schulz, Charlie Brown as somewhat of a self-portrait, in that the character shares Schulz’s self-doubt and insecurities.
