The Spitalfields Candle Company use a soya wax from a sustainable source for their candles and only aromatherapy-grade essential oils. Wherever possible they use organic oils, or those made from UK-grown plant and herb extracts.
"Juniper was originally believed to have magical powers and was consequently used to protect against evil; it was also used as an incense, to purify and stimulate it has a sweet, fresh aromatic scent. It calms the nerves, and relieves anxiety, nervous tension and mental exhaustion.
Frankincense is an aromatic resin, and the aroma of frankincense is said to represent life, it has a woody, spicy, haunting smell. The essential oil is soothing, and has balancing and relaxing properties, with a rejuvenating effect on both mind and body."
